What’s in your Shadow?
Your shadow is not the worst thing about you.
In Jungian psychology, the shadow includes the parts of ourselves we learned to hide, reject, minimize, or leave behind. That may include anger, vulnerability, desire, authority, need, tenderness, ambition, limits, or the right to disappoint someone. Sometimes the quality you most need is not missing. It has simply been pushed out of sight.
This quiz is designed to help you meet your protective response with curiosity rather than shame—and recognize what it may be time to bring back into your life.
Ready to look beneath the reaction?
Choose one relationship or recurring situation and keep it in mind as you answer.
Your result is not a label. It is a starting point for understanding what happens automatically—and creating more freedom in what happens next.
Non-diagnostic. Private. Designed for reflection, not labeling.

Your response is not your identity
You may recognize several protective moves in yourself. You may also respond differently depending on the person, relationship, or situation. Your result identifies the pattern that appeared most consistently in your answers. It does not define you. Awareness gives you the opportunity to pause, tell the truth about what is happening, make a clear agreement with yourself, and begin keeping it one small action at a time.
Insight is the beginning. Practice changes the pattern.
Understanding your response can be powerful. But lasting change happens when insight becomes something you can practice in real relationships.
In a free Take Back Your Crown consultation, we can explore:
Where this pattern appears in your life
What it has been protecting
What keeps pulling you back into it
What part of yourself is ready to be reclaimed
The next agreement that would create meaningful change
Disclaimer
This quiz is intended for education and personal reflection. It does not diagnose narcissism, trauma, attachment disorders, personality disorders, or any other mental health condition. Your result describes a response you may use under stress, not a permanent identity or judgment about who you are.
